Well, that's the summer well and truly over. I work, during the daytime, with the light on again. And I'm ok with that. It's taken me a while to realise it (like 50+ years) but summer is actually my least favourite season. The pressure to be having a good time, to go somewhere interesting, to have something to harvest at the end of those long, hot days.

There's increasing concern about the impact that AI is going to have on the job market, especially on ‘white-collar’ jobs. Try searching “AI” and “white-collar” on Google News to see what I mean: you’ll find plenty of doom-laden headlines.

A friend told me about Cursor, which bills itself as "the AI code editor" so I thought I'd give it a go. It's a few years since I built the Sortes Sanctorum with the help of an early version of ChatGPT so I was interested to see how things have progressed since then.
